Create mailboxes and aliases
Add addresses, set sizes, and forward with aliases.
Mailboxes
A mailbox is a real inbox with its own password and storage. Open Mailboxes and fill in the Create mailbox form:
- Address: the part before the
@(letters, numbers and. _ + -), and which of your verified domains it belongs to. - Name: shown to people who receive your mail.
- Password: at least 8 characters. Use Generate for a strong one and save it in a password manager.
- Size: how much of your plan's storage this mailbox may use. The sum of all mailbox sizes must fit your plan. You can change sizes later.
The number of mailboxes and total storage depend on your plan:
| Plan | Domains | Mailboxes | Storage | Emails sent / day | Price (excl. GST) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 2 | 2 GB | 50 | Free |
| Starter | 1 | 5 | 10 GB | 300 | ₹149/month or ₹1,490/year |
| Business | 5 | 25 | 50 GB | 1,000 | ₹499/month or ₹4,990/year |
| Pro | 15 | 100 | 200 GB | 3,000 | ₹1,199/month or ₹11,990/year |
To change a mailbox password or size, or to delete a mailbox, use the actions on the same page. Deleting a mailbox permanently deletes its mail, so we ask you to confirm.
Aliases
An alias is an extra address that delivers into a mailbox, such as sales@yourcompany.com delivering to asha@yourcompany.com. Aliases have no password and no storage of their own. Create them in Aliases. Several aliases can point to the same mailbox, and there is a plan limit on the number of aliases.
To send as an alias, add it as an extra "send from" address in your mail app or in webmail.
Good habits
- Give each person their own mailbox rather than sharing one password.
- Use aliases for roles (
support@,billing@) so people can change without changing the address you publish. - Keep some storage unallocated so you can enlarge a mailbox that fills up.
